Showings

To leave or not to leave…

If you're showing your home yourself...

Get ID: Get contact information and valid ID prior to scheduling an appointment to show your home. Use this information to confirm the appointment.

Say Hello: Introduce your self at the door and welcome in the buyers.

Make a Brief Statement: Tell the potential buyer a brief overview of your home. Share details such as the age of the home, the number of bedrooms, baths, and your square footage. Now it's time to begin your tour. As you precede from room to room, point out one or two highlights. Stop and take a breath. Give the buyers some time and space to process what they are seeing, talk among themselves, and ask you questions.

Materials: Present your home brochure/flyer/MLS sheet to buyers after they have finished viewing your home. Include important home features and your contact information.

Remember your manners: Thank buyers for viewing your home and ask them to provide feedback.

Record Keeping: Keep a record of who views your home, dates, time, and feedback.

ALWAYS MAKE SAFETY A PRIORITY

Agents showing your home

When an Agent is showing your home, give them as much privacy as possible. When homeowners are present, buyers tend to walk through the home like it's a museum. They don't feel comfortable looking at the home and talking about what works for them and how they see themselves living in this house!
